Grandview with the Aafedt Clan
We headed back up to Grandview this past weekend with the whole Aafedt clan (Matt/Jody, Payton, Ryan, Papa and Mer). The weather could 
not have been more perfect. Fuzz, Reese and I caravaned with Jody/kids and Mer since the boys went up early to golf. We got up there, put the kids down for a nap and got everything ready for our first boat ride.
Mer rented a pontoon for everyone and we headed out. We stopped at one point to jump in the water. Mer was the first brave soul as the water was FREEZING. She got so excited, she forgot to take her glasses off and lost them in the lake :) I'm not exaggerating when I say it made my bladder freeze up ;) After a while though your body just kinda went into shock and got used to it... Funny thing was it didn't even remotely phase any of the kids. Payton and Ryan jumped in and Fuzz followed right behind. Fuzz didn't even flinch at the temperature and did not want to get out.
Saturday night, we BBQ'd and while we cooked, got ready, the kids played upstairs. Ryan was trying to teach Fuzz how to do flips on the bed. Fuzz would stick his head down, but couldn't figure out to rotate his body all the way over. He had a great time with Payton and Ryan jumping on the bed though. Jody and I were the judges telling them wh
at their scores were after each jump. Fuzz just wanted "free's (3's)" and Ryan wanted 100's.
Sunday, Mer and Papa were the saints that took all 4 kids while Matt/Jody, David and I golfed. It could not have been better weather for golf and Matty and I both shot lifetimes bests and I broke 100 for the first time too!
After our golfing adventure, the older kids went tubing while the rest of us got ready for dinner back at the cabin. We headed to this awesome restaurant that had a 4 course meal. They even had 3 course kids meals that consisted of fruit, main meal and dessert. Fuzz was in heaven as he had "roni cheese" and fries and then an ice cream parfait for dessert. You could tell that he had a great day as he didn't even remotely fight bedtime when we got back to the cabin.
I think Fuzz already misses his cousins as he asked to go night-night at "Jo-Jo's house."
Oh and to not forget the 2nd child, both Payton and Ryan gave her a ton of attention (so did Auntie Jo-Jo and Uncle Matty). It got to the point where Reese could recognize both of their voices and would alm
ost immediately smile.
