Saturday Activities...trying to be creative since Dada is gone all day

David is at a convention all day today (Saturday) and since the weather leaves something to be desired, we headed to the Mall of America (thanks Cullen for the suggestion!). We started at Lego Land but apparently the whole rest of the world had the same idea so we headed to Underwater World. I would not suggest this as an outing, especially if there is more than one adult going. It is free for kids 2 and under, but it is $18 per adult and the whole thing is about 300 yards long. I was not impressed and either was Fuzz. He pointed out some fishies and enjoyed the turtles and the dolphins (actually they were sharks, but Fuzz thought they were dolphins) but all in all, not the best outing in the whole world. He did really like the clownfish tank...one of them was an orange clownfish and of course as soon as Fuzz saw it, he yelled "Nemo!" and ran over to say hi. We stood at that tank for about 5 minutes while he said hi to all the clownfish and do an "ooh aah oooh aaah oooh aaah" to the masks that are almost the exact ones that do the chant in the movie. Other than that, it didn't really keep his interest that long. After our underwater bomb, we headed to Hwy 494 and Post Rd to watch the planes take off. This was a great activity for the weather we had today because we sat in the car about 200 yards from the runway and watched them zoom by us. And the best part is that at most, there was only 2 minutes in between take-offs so Fuzz didn't have to wait long. He yelled "PLANE" everytime one would pass us and then "yee-haw" when it actually took off. And we had fun watching the little planes zoom by us too as those took off really close to us. We then headed to the EHS Lacrosse game at Kuhlman (where our home soccer games are too) and Fuzz just ran the steps. I got him his favorite lunch of chicken nuggets and fries to entertain him for the first 10 minutes, then he was saying hi to everyone in the stands and then found the stairs. The bleachers are completely closed (you can't fall through) for those of you about to call social services so he just did his laps around the entire stadium. I must say, I consider myself fairly knowledgeable about sports and I knew NOTHING about Lacrosse. I'm going to have to have a tutorial from Uncle Mark so I can watch without asking a bazillion questions. All in all, a day that I thought was going to be a disaster turned out to be a pretty good day...now lets hope I get a good nap too!
