Easter Brunch and Bunny Visit

We started our Easter festivities by going to the Meet the Bunny brunch at Minikahda. I wasn't sure how Fuzz was going to react to everything because earlier last week, Fuzz yelled at the bunny in the EP Mall, "NO BUNNY." Well, that bunny must have been giving a weird vibe because Fuzz was obsessed with the Easter bunny as soon as we got to Minikahda. And by obsessed, I mean he would not leave them alone. We had to pull him away a few times so other kids could get pictures with him. As soon as we walked in, Fuzz made a bee-line to the bunny and asked to give it knuckles. The bunny obliged and Fuzz proceeded to ask for knuckles about a million more times. Lucky for us, it wasn't busy when we first got there so he could have lots of attention from the bunny. Once we could tear him away from the bunny, we went to where they had a live animal petting zoo. They had baby bunnies, duckies and even a baby sheep. Fuzz thought they were all pretty cool and kept trying to get in the pen with the bunnies. He went up to the sheep, stuck his head right down by it and said, "BAAAAAAAHHH," so we all got a good laugh at that one. Fuzz had no qualms sticking his hand in the various pens to pet them and tried to pick one of the bunnies up. Then we headed outside to go for a horsey ride. Again, not sure how Fuzz was going to react, but as you can tell by the pictures, he loved it. The guy that was walking the horses taught him how to say, "Yee Haw" so Fuzz said that every 2 seconds after he got off the horse. The guy was nice enough to take Fuzz around twice since the line was so long and Fuzz would've ridden that one all day I think. We avoided meltdown after getting off the horse by asking if he wanted to go find the bunny (obviously bunny ranks higher than horsey in his mind...) After all the animals (and washing his hands about a gazillion times) we headed in to the dining room for brunch. Fuzz had a hard time sitting still because he wanted to go find his new best friend, the bunny (this poor bunny had a two year old following his every move...pretty sure Fuzz would've followed him into the bathroom). We finally got him to eat (thanks to Payton and Ryan for helping entertain him) and as soon as the bigger kids got up, there was no way we were keeping him in his chair. The Easter Egg Hunt started after brunch was over and Payton and Ryan (and uncle Matt) helped make him his bag to store all the eggs. We thought he would follow Payton and Ryan around and pick up eggs. Negative ghost rider...guess who he followed around? You got it, the bunny! He had zero interest in picking up eggs even though there were a million other kids racing around picking them up. We even showed him there was candy inside and he could've cared less. Just wanted the bunny... This morning, it looked like Christmas again at our house because of all of the easter baskets. From Auntie Mer Bunny, he got a stuffed animal bunny with candy inside and a new book (that he loves because it has moving parts). From Auntie Jo-Jo, Uncle Matt, Payton and Ryan Bunnies, he got another Easter book and sidewalk chalk. From Mama and Dada Bunny he got some new monster trucks, jelly beans, and a new video (Madagascar). After we opened all the baskets here, we headed to my parents for brunch and once again, more easter baskets. From Ga-Ga and Gumpa bunny, he got a stuffed bunny and chocolate chip cookies and from Auntie Ann Bunny, he got an Elmo Easter Basket stuff with a ton of candy, some matchbox cars and a lovely bike horn that I hope he never figures out how to use ;) After brunch, Papa came over and delivered the last basket of the day filled with a semi-truck and more matchbox cars. I'm not kidding when I say it looked like Christmas with all his new stuff. All in all, a great Easter! And it helps that is was upper 50's and low 60's for the weekend so we spent a ton of time outside!
