We packed up the diaper bag full of bribes for Fuzz as we weren't sure how he was going to react to his sister being the absolute center of attention. The bribes included suckers, choo-choos, goldfish and even a bag of jelly beans if we needed it. Once he saw his cousins Payton and Ryan, Fuzz could've cared less as to what his sister was doing.
David started the service and at the time, Fuzz was in my arms. I realized that being the amazon that he is, this wasn't going to work without my arms falling off. I let him down and he immediately asked for his "cool water bottle" because he was thirsty. Whoops, check that off in mom's dumb and forgot what I knew he would ask for. I tried to distract him, but then he noticed the water in the pulpit and thought it was a drinking fountain. We could not keep him away from it and he tried to stick not only his hands, but his entire face in there. Finally we got him to sit down with Gaga/Gumpa and eat a sucker.
Reese was so good and just sat peacefully in the other 1/2 of his godmamas, Auntie Jo-Jo. She had her hands in her mouth the whole time entertaining herself and Jo-Jo making her laugh the rest of the time. When she got "dunked" as we called it, we could hear Fuzz ask if Reese was taking a "baff."
We were so fortunate that most of our families could be there. My parents, grandparents, my aunt and uncle Dow/Allen, my other aunt/uncle Mac and Mary and their three kids (Luke aka 'Buzz' is 3 months younger than Fuzz), my brother "muncle Mike", one of my best friends Becky who made the trek up from Iowa after getting home from Zambia, Uncle Matt/Auntie Jo-Jo, cousins Payton and Ryan, Great Auntie Mer, Papa, Auntie Annie and David/Mary Nelson from WA along with their granddaughter, Sarah, all came over to our house for a party afterwards. We definitely missed having the Gustavson clan and also Meg/Ev though!
