It has been awhile...lots going on :)

It has been awhile since the last post and that is because all of the activities are in full swing. That includes swim lessons, pre-school, gym time, soccer, etc...Now that I have a good nap time going on, here is what is new with us.
Reese

She hit 5 months last week and all of a sudden is the chattiest thing in the whole world.  For over a month, she would babble away, but now there is some volume to it (gee, wonder where she gets that).  If you aren't paying attention to her, she will do it louder until you do pay attention.  And you can start to hear some consonants like "g" and a TON of bubbles.  She also started rice cereal along with her oatmeal. She loves them both and gets quite upset when they are gone.

The big news on the sleep side is that we pulled her out of her swaddler (or straight jacket as Auntie Mer called it). She was showing big signs of rolling over from back to tummy so we decided to let her have her arms free ;).  Because she now has all limbs on deck, she is constantly playing with her feet.  It is the funniest thing to go in her room and all you see is her feet sticking straight up kicking in the air.  She still takes a morning nap (if she gets a chance...) and a monster 4-5 hour afternoon nap.  We have settled into a pretty good routine of 7:15 bedtime to a 7:45 wakeup.  I certainly don't mind that ;)

Other than that, she is smiley as can be and loves all the attention she can get!

Fuzz
Recently, Fuzz has shown a ton of positive attention to Reese.  The second he gets up from his nap he wants to go wake Reese up (actually in a nice way...).  He will ask me about 10 more times, "wake Reesie up mama," until we actually do go in there and get her.  I let Fuzz crawl in her crib and play with her in there until they get bored.  Fuzz can almost always get her to laugh...either by smelling her feet and yelling "STINKY FEET" at the top of his lungs or just by staring at her.  He has been trying to show her how to roll over and even how to eat with a spoon (that made a nice mess of oatmeal :).  Sometimes, I think when it is just me going in to get her, she is looking for big brother.

He has been loving his preschool class and teacher "Yisa" (Lisa) who is the child whisperer.  She can get 14 2-3 year olds walking in a line for a good 300 yards and they actually obey.  It is the craziest thing to watch!  Fuzz gets really excited to go to school and always tells me what they did in class that day.  Although it always starts with what he had for a snack :)

Fuzz also has shown a pretty heavy interest in his stuffed animals and has to have them when he goes to sleep. Who knows if he actually wants them to sleep or just a stall tactic, but this is how we found him the other night.  ET much?
