Zoo Visit and Sweet Pea Status...
With the gorgeous weather last week and knowing it won't stay that way, we decided to do as much as we could outside. Fuzz and I headed to the Como Zoo for the morning. He had a great time looking at all the animals. We started in the rainforest which was cool because they had birds flying all over the place and Fuzz tried to chase them all around. Then we headed to the various fish tanks and he yelled "FISHIE" after every one swam by (which was quite often...).
They even had a shark tank and a snake pit. At the snake pit (the one where I wanted to vomit...this snake was HUGE), Fuzz said, "ssssssssssssssss" and thought h
e was pretty funny. He liked looking at the snake slithering around and the sharks the most which is great because are the two animals in this world that I am totally freaked out by (ok, the sharks were little so it wasn't that bad :)
After looking at all the rainforest stuff, we headed to the primate building. There was the CUTEST baby gorilla there playing with a ball and then her mama for awhile. I would've watched that forever...Fuzz liked watching the monkeys swing from branch to branch and even saw one go #2. Of course, Fuzz had to point it out by saying "monkey poo-poo." Thanks Fuzz ;)
Later on last week, we had a playdate with Katherine, one of his friends that lives right by us. As soon as I tell him that Katherine is coming over he runs to the door waiting for "Kaffrin" and "Baby Michael," who is her 4 month old brother. I had the crack idea of making cookies with both of them. It went better than I thought it would but it did look like flour exploded everywhere. They had a fun time and Aly (Katherine's mom) and I enjoyed the end result. I had to remove Fuzz for awhile as he ate the dough like it was the last food on earth (yes, bubble dad already reprimanded me for giving it to him as there are raw eggs in there...oh well...).
On a Sweet Pea update, Gumpa (Grandpa Scott) and David put together the new crib yesterday in her room. About 3 months ago, Gumpa had to come over and put a band-aid fix on the old crib becuase Fuzz had jumped right through the board holding the mattress in his crib. Little did I know at the time that the exact piece that broke had been recalled. About a week after he broke the crib the first time, he got mad at me and kicked out the gate...I was thinking Sweet Pea was going to have ghetto crib with duck tape all over it by the time he was done. I found out it had been recalled and we ended up getting a brand new crib. Nice for us as the timing was perfect!
I put her bedding on after they put the crib together (it is the exact same crib Fuzz had) and it is weird to see pink! I am so used to blue everywhere...The only real big things we have left to do are move Fuzz's furniture into Sweet Pea's room (dresser and
diaper changing table) and then move a big boy dresser into Fuzz's room.
We are down to almost 2 months until she is here. For right now, I am scheduled to have her 5/22 but I find out in the next couple weeks whether that will get moved to 5/15 as she has been measuring big (apparently we breed big kids...) Fuzz is really cute though as every night he gives mama and dada a kiss goodnight and then leans right in my belly, gives "baby" a kiss and says "night night baby." I still don't think he has a clue as to what is going to hit him ;)
