Children's Museum

I was not thinking as we headed to the Children's Museum this morning...it is boys hockey state tournament time and St. Paul was a ZOO. Luckily we were able to find parking in the museum lot as I didn't bring the stroller and did NOT want to walk from one of the other ramps. I figured Fuzz would be a good walker as he gets so excited to push all the elevator buttons as we have to take quite a few of them to get through the skyway. When we got there, Fuzz immediately asked for the "slide" which is in the Tots room. We were in that room for awhile and then I think Fuzz got a little bored in there and asked to "go-go". So sad as he used to LOVE that room...lil man is growing up and wants bigger and better now :) We headed to the Clifford room next and that is where we spent the most time. There was a contraption that you put Clifford's dog bones on a conveyor belt and the kids could turn a wheel to move the belt. Fuzz sat at this particular toy for a good 20 minutes just turning the wheel and watching it move the belt. I swear, this kid is going to be some sort of engineer (this would NOT come from his parents however as this is neither of our expertise...) because all he cares about is how things work and not the actual toy itself. After we were done in the Clifford room, we went into the jungle room where Fuzz loves the fish tank. There were 3 huge turtles in there and a bunch of different types of fish. Fuzz again yelled "FISHIE" and "TURTLE" after everyone that swam by. He also realized that if he slapped the glass of the tank, he would startle the animals and they would go faster. He thought that was really funny (and so did I) until we were getting dirty looks from the museum employee. We sat in there for awhile and he loved running up and down the ramps holding on to the railing and saying "ooooohh." For some reason now he loves feeling things that go up and down (stairrails, chair arms, table legs, etc...). It was also in the fish room that he discovered the hand dryers and would purposely stick his hand in the little stream just so he could dry his hands. All in all, we had a great morning at the museum and thanks to Great Auntie Mer for the renewal for my birthday!

Oh, Fuzz and his elevators. At least this time he didn't run away and take one by himself! :)
