Madtown Visit

I know I say this every time we head out there, but it just keeps getting better and better as the kids get older. We had a very smooth ride out there (thanks to Finding Nemo and Cars) and made it there just after lunchtime. Cullen was sleeping when we got there so Fuzz and Tyra got acclimated. Last time, it took Fuzz a little bit to warm up to her. This time, it took about 30 seconds and they were already playing with the awesome Thomas puzzle cards that they got Fuzz. And the BEST line of the whole visit...it still makes me laugh. Tee-Tee was waiting for Fuzz to put a puzzle piece in the right spot and he was taking longer than she wanted. She looked at Fuzz and with the right intonation and with an absolutely straight face she said, "Fuzz, you're killing me!" We laughed so hard :) We went to the mall on Wednesday morning while it was still close to let the kids run around. That was an interesting experience as Cullen ran one way and Fuzz ran the other. Neither boy could have cared less where we were and Cullen and I tag-teamed the whole time. We brought the bikes for the older two and they rode/scooted around all over the place. We then played in the play area and the rides for the remainder of the morning. Wednesday after naptime, we hit the gold mine with a visit to Chuck E Cheese. I haven't been to a Chuck E for about 5 years and I didn't realize how PERFECT it is for kids this age. Fuzz, Tee-Tee and Cullen were all in heaven the whole time and all so well behaved. They just ran around playing with the various games, climbing in the tubes/slides and eating pizza. Fuzz was introduced to "spite" (sprite) and thought he was a pretty big boy for getting to have some of "Mama's drink." Fuzz spent his time following Tee-Tee around, then Cullen then doing his own thing. At one point, I noticed he was missing and found him with his hand in the cheese at the salad bar. Whoops! We are definitely going to have to hit the Chuck E Cheese at home as this was an awesome outing (and they have beer too ;). Thursday, after Tee-Tee went to school, we took Fuzz and Cullen to the indoor soccer facility that they have set up like an open gym. The boys were in heaven as open spaces to run are their favorite! They had tee-balls, soccer balls, hoops, an inflatable jumping thing, playground, snacks, just plain running around and all in all, burning a LOT of energy! Fuzz wasn't sure what to think, but he didn't mind just running around, either chasing Cullen or trying to get Cullen to chase Fuzz. After the open gym, we went to get Tee-Tee at school. Cutest thing ever was when we went out to the playground to get her, she yelled, "this is my friend FUZZ that is here to play with me" to all her friends. Fuzz spent the next 20 minutes being chased around by Tee-Tee and her friend Erica. And by chased, I mean literally sprinting up and down the steps, back and forth. Fuzz was in heaven (who wouldn't be with two cute blondes chasing you...). Nothing like burning what energy he had left before we got in the car to head home ;) We left after lunch and Fuzz was sound asleep before we got outside the Madison city limits. We had such an unbelievable trip as all the kids got along SO well. Tee-Tee, Cullen, Auntie KT and Uncle Gus, we already miss you!
