Reese is 8 months today! It has been a big day for her all around...she had school for 3 hours this morning, which she is always exhausted from and we also moved her into the big car seat! Fuzz is in his big boy car seat (the booster with a back) and Reese moved into his old Britax. When I opened the door after school with both kids, Fuzz thought it was pretty cool that his big boy car seat had been permanently moved into my car. Reese also loved being more upright so she could stare at her mirror and Fuzz. I could hear them giggling at each other in the back seat.
She is still (knock on wood) a very easy baby, but definitely loves her attention. If you are playing with her and walk away, she will let you know when she wants you back playing with her. She loves her exersaucer, her stuffed car she sits in, playing with her toys and also playing with Fuzz. She is grabbing things and shoving them into her mouth all the time and anything she can get in her mouth are her favorite toys. Reese popped her first tooth the other day and I'm pretty sure at least 2 more are coming shortly by the amount of drool that comes out :). She is also rolling all over the place, holding her own bottle, getting up and rocking on all fours and yelling (not quietly), "BABABABABABABA, DADADADADADADADADADA." Her volume is greatly appreciated when it is time to get up in the morning :)
Food-wise, she is still somewhat of a pig. She takes 4 7-oz bottles, oatmeal or yogurt in the morning, a fruit/veggie at lunch and then same at dinnertime. Her new food things since last month have been avocado, yogurt, cheerios (that she now picks up herself), puffs, kix and some pureed meats. She still loves her food and is now a big fan of the stuff she can pick up herself!
Sleeping, she is still a champ...takes a mini hour long nap in the morning, a 2-4 hour nap in the afternoon and goes down about 7 and wakes up about 7:30. I certainly don't complain about that. Although it is quite the change, because I can't wait until she doesn't need a morning nap anymore and with Fuzz, I dreaded the day I lost that nap.
