It was so much fun this year because Fuzz knew what his birthday meant, as opposed to last year where he thought it was just another regular day. When he got up, I had made pancakes and put candles in them and they were sitting there waiting for him. His first response out of his door was "happy birthday mama!" I told him it was his birthday and he had the best look on his face. Reese and I sang him happy birthday (her version was, "BABABABABABABA") and he blew out his candles.
He had a lot of fun telling everyone and everything in the kitchen it was his birthday. The picture below is of him telling Adi it was his birthday. That was after he told me, Reese, his yellow blankie, the milk carton and the TV it was his birthday. After breakfast, he was lucky enough to have his birthday fall on a school day. The teacher made a big deal of the fact it was his birthday so he constantly had people coming up to him saying happy birthday. They have a box of hats to pick from on your birthday and he picked the fireman hat to wear (for all of about 2 minutes).
Then the whole class sang happy birthday to him and he was on cloud nine...
After class, I asked him where he wanted to go to lunch and after his mama (and gumpa's) own heart, he picked Burger King. As I was ordering his birthday lunch, Fuzz yelled out his window, "ITS FUZZ'S BIRTHDAY, I'M FREE" Luckily the person taking the order couldn't really hear a lot of it, but I was certainly laughing.
We got home, ate some lunch and then he and Reese had a rousing game of peekaboo with her blanket. As you can see, she really didn't get the game. She kept popping her head out of the blanket every time he covered her. They were laughing so hard though so I had to add these pictures in too.
