Halloween(s)

I felt better about buying Fuzz 3 halloween costumes because he got to use all of them multiple times. Costume 1 - Mercy the pig #1...we lost that somewhere at the 50th and France halloween party, hence costume #2 - the devil. He melted down and only wanted to be Mercy the pic and that is how we got to costume #3 - Mercy the pic #2. Here are our various halloween celebrations...

50th and France Halloween

We all headed out to the 50th and France halloween where the stores all had candy up and there were a ton of activities. The weather was a tad cold, but we bundled everyone up and headed out. Fuzz had a great time, but had a hard time handling the fact he couldn't have every piece of candy that was handed to him. We ran into Tommy Gartner (as Fuzz was starting to meltdown) so it was a short visit, but we did get a great picture. After the trick or treating, we headed to Edina Grill for lunch. We took off his costume there and somehow lost 1/2 of the Mercy outfit and didn't realize it until the next day...

Byerlys Halloween

I give the grocery store a ton of credit because I never thought trick or treating up the aisles of a grocery store would be so much fun. We met the Mulgrew's (Katherine in her bee costume and Baby Michael in his dinosaur) for a late afternoon trick or treat. It was hilarious because each stand had something to give out appropriate to the area of grocery store. Carrots in the produce section, popcorn and sprite in the chips/pop aisle, cheetos in the other chip aisle and candy in the candy aisle. Fuzz and Katherine didn't know what to do with themselves with all of this stuff to eat. Katherine actually ate the carrots, while Fuzz stuck to the cheetos. The best part was baby Michael dumped his bag all over the produce aisle and not 10 minutes later, Fuzz did the EXACT same thing about 5 aisles over. We did get them to sit still enough for a picture :)

ECFE Halloween Party

The morning of Halloween, we headed to Fuzz's school for the annual pumpkin party. Fuzz wanted nothing to do with the crafts and just wanted to head down the slides a few million times. We did find his teacher who honest to God is the most amazing teacher I have ever seen. She can get 12 2-3 year olds to walk in two single file lines for a good 300 yards with NO rope or anything to hold on to. It is the most amazing thing to watch. Fuzz talks about teacher "Yisa" (Lisa) like she is his best friend. We found Katherine and got them to sit with Lisa to take a picture.

Trick or Treating
The night of halloween, we headed over to Papa's house as the first stop for candy. We met big cousins Payton and Ryan and Fuzz had a blast chasing them all around. The best line while taking the picture below is Jody kiddingly telling Ryan to smile and as serious as can be, Ryan says, "I am..." After Papa's house, we headed over to Mer's for more candy and then to my aunt's house to show off Mercy the pig (she was one that introduced the craze into our house :). We headed over to a few of the soccer players houses after that and home to an impromptu party. Two of our friends from ECFE (school) and their parents came to trick or treat at the same time and we ended up having a few beers and some pizza while the kids chased each other around.


All in all, a great holiday and I think we are finally through the sugar hangover :)
