An Eventful Xmas!

We had such a great holiday season...I can't believe that we are already almost to the new year! Fuzz had an awesome Christmas and it was so much fun to watch him actually enjoy opening presents and playing with all his new stuff. I will try and break this post down into what we have done the past week or so... 1) Christmas Eve...we went to Minikahda with the whole Ryerse clan for dinner. I am the worst mom ever in that I forgot the camera, which was too bad because Fuzz was sporting a french blue dress shirt and red and green striped tie (clip on of course...). After dinner, we headed back to my parents house to open presents. After he would open each present, he would say "awesome" and go right on to the next. Ga-Ga got him Elmo Live of which we ALL had a good laugh. The thing didn't stop (thank GOD it has an off switch) and it even farted if you squeezed its nose and said "Excuse Elmo..." Then Gumpa gave him a drumb which Fuzz took the drumstick and started shoving it in Elmo's mouth while he was talking. Eghan and Evan gave him a bubble blowing set and a few puzzles...I know he is going to LOVE the bubbles but I don't want to open it until I have the patience to clean it up ;) His presents from Mama and Dada were a beanbag chair and a trike. He has been riding the trike around the house yelling "ding ding" everytime he rings the bell (you will notice still in his elmo slippers). Oh, he also got a new bathrobe from Gaga that he is wearing...still with elmo slippers... 2) Christmas Day...we headed to my grandparents house in the morning to open presents. Fuzz's big present there was a Thomas the Train set. The thing needed a masters degree to put together, but David and I finally figured most of it out. Gumpa made him an awesome train table, complete with astroturf as the fake grass to put the set on. Tee-Tee and Cullen Gustavson gave him the crane addition to Thomas where the train can go up and down various hills. Fuzz is now obsessed with his "choo-choo" and played with it for a total of probably 1 1/2 hours yesterday. He even figured out that the trains can be magnetized together. He asked for his "choo choo" when he got up from his nap and then again right after breakfast this morning. His favorite phrases when playing with his Choo-Choo are "weeeeeeeeeeeee" and "awesome" when the trains go down the hill. Fuzz got more toys than we know what to do with for Christmas and we thank everyone for that! Now we just need to figure out what to do with it all ;) Good thing Fuzz was the center of attention all Xmas as next year it will be a different story ;) 3) Tee-Tee's Birthday party...It was Tyra Gustavson's third birthday on the 23rd of December so Mark and Katie had a birthday party for her at the White Bear Lifetime. Let me tell you...PURE GENIUS was the party. The first hour was playing in a blowing jumping castle, trampolines, a ton of balls, and so much other stuff. Fuzz had not been in a jumping castle before but it didn't take him long after watching Lil Cullen go flying around. Fuzz figured out how to do it and absolutely loved it. He was in there with all the other kids for most of that hour and got so excited each time "Tee-Tee" came in with him. The second hour of the party was pizza, cake and juice boxes. Fuzz was pretty much in heaven. He had never had a juice box before but it didn't take him long to ask for another one after he polished off two pieces of pizza. He loved the cake of course too and he even got to sit near his girlfriend who had a blast blowing out the candles. All in all, Fuzz (and the two of us as well) had a BLAST. It was a really weird thing to see all of my good friends from college with all the kids. It seems like just yesterday that we were in college...
