Palm Springs

David, Fuzz and I just got back from a week in Palm Springs. We had a great trip! It was 80 degrees each day and the sun was out the entire time. Quite a change from the 6" of snow that fell while we were gone. The plane ride out was eventful...we actually bought Fuzz a seat as he is so much better in his car seat than on one of our laps. He didn't sleep a wink the entire flight out but Baby Einstein, some new toys and the ever popular goldfish were our saviors.

Fuzz absolutely LOVED the pool and getting all sorts of attention from his older cousins Payton (5) and Ryan (4). They spent at least 2 hours a day in the pool. If they weren't in the pool, they were chasing themselves all over the house.

What we didn't realize was that Fuzz's ears hurt. We could tell that he was a little "off," but were attributing it to the time difference. We finally took his temperature on Saturday and it was 103.6 :( Little did we know that Fuzz had an extremely swollen eardrum that was caused by his last ear infection (not the plane ride or the pool though), so we spent Sat night in the Palm Springs Urgent Care. They gave us some antibiotics and ear numbing drops (you can see the cotton in his ears in the picture) and it was like we had a new kid for the remainder of the trip. Still more time in the pool, hanging out with his cousins and just hanging out.

The plane ride home was pretty easy. I have become a HUGE fan of Sun Country's because they are almost always on time which I have learned is key with a child :) We had a late evening flight and Fuzz slept for over 1/2 of it.
